The future Mr. and Mrs. Tate

A cupcake.  Who would have thought that a cupcake would change her life?
As Michelle was running errands, James was busy baking cupcakes.  When she got home, James showed Michelle what he had created, but he would only let her have one, a very specific one with something shiny hiding under it.
So maybe it wasn't the cupcake that changed her life, but I bet she'll never look at that sweet little treat the same. :)

I never liked snow quite as much as I did this day.

He makes her laugh.  Oh!  How he makes her laugh.

Couples who play together, stay together! :)

Sincere smiles.  I love sincere smiles.

It's a rare occasion that I shoot an engagement session, and the groom has his wedding ring as well, but this story is too special not to share:
If you'll notice, there is a "T" on the groom's ring. This is for his last name - Tate.
James' grandfather Don Tate made the ring in 1944 and was married in February of 1945.  James' grandpa passed the ring to his Uncle Kelly when he was married.
James' dad Jim was given the ring when Uncle Kelly passed away.  When James shared the exciting news with his father that he was going to propose to Michelle, Jim gave the family heirloom to his son to use as his wedding ring.

James and Michelle, you are an absolutely beautiful couple inside and out.  I am certainly blessed to have the privilege of capturing your special day.  Your love is apparent, and I cannot wait to see it in full bloom on May 25, 2013.  What a happy day it will be!
